Super Eagles and Cremonese striker, Cyril Dessers, was named in the Serie A Team of the Week.
The Serie A Team of the Week was announced on whoscored.com’s Twitter handle on Tuesday.
The 28-year-old striker is the only Cremonese player named in the Team of the Week which is in a 4-4-2 formation.
Dessers scored two goals but it was not enough as struggling Cremonese lost 3-2 to Sassuolo in Monday’s league game.
He pulled a goal back for Cremonese in the 62nd minute before getting on the score sheet again in the 83rd minute to make it 2-2.
However, Sassuolo got the winner in the 92nd minute to secure the three points.
Dessers has scored five goals in 15 league appearances for relegation threatened Cremonese this season.
He will hope to help Cremonese return to winning ways and add to his goals when they host Fiorentina in their next league fixture on Sunday, March 12.
Cremonese are in 19th position on 12 points and are nine points away from safety.
