France’s nationwide celebrations of Paris Saint-Germain’s first Champions League title took a dark turn, with authorities confirming two fans killed and a police officer in a coma after violence erupted following PSG’s 5-0 rout of Inter Milan.
In Dax, a 17-year-old boy was stabbed to death in the chest during a late-night street party.

In central Paris, a 23-year-old man died when his scooter was struck by a car amid the celebrations.

Meanwhile, a police officer in northwest France sustained grave eye injuries when hit by fireworks and remains in an artificial coma.

All three incidents are under active investigation.

Nationwide Unrest: Injuries, Arrests, and Property Damage

While thousands were celebrating peacefully, the jubilation quickly escalated into rioting in certain areas:

192 people injured, including 22 police officers and 7 firefighters.

559 arrests countrywide—491 of them in Paris.

264 vehicles torched, bus shelters smashed, and multiple buildings vandalized.

At least 300 detainees were found with fireworks or charged with disorderly conduct.

Parisian authorities had mobilized 5,400 officers to manage the expected crowd, but clashes still flared near the Champs-Élysées and Parc des Princes.

Riot units used water cannons and tear gas to control groups throwing fireworks and objects at police.

In Grenoble, a separate incident injured four PSG fans, all from the same family. A car plowed into the group, leaving two seriously hurt.

The driver surrendered to police and was arrested; investigators believe no malice was intended.
