Ademola Lookman is likely to to feature for Atletico Madrid in first-leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final against Arsenal.
Reports indicate that Lookman trained with the first team over the past two days after recovering from an adductor injury.
The injury kept out Lookman after Atleti’s Copa del Rey final defeat to Real Sociedad.
Atletico Madrid head coach Diego Simeone addressed the forward’s condition, saying, “We’ll see tomorrow if Ademola Lookman can recover. He still had some discomfort today (Monday).”

Lookman also shared an update on his fitness, stating, “I missed the last few matches, but now I feel much better.”
Speaking on the atmosphere surrounding big matches, Lookman highlighted the importance of fan support.
“As long as we have the fans with us, it’s special. They give us a lot of energy. When we played in Barcelona, the fans were at our hotel since 11 AM. Pfft, that feeling is just unmatched.”
The Nigerian forward credited Simeone for his development since joining the club.
“I’ve grown in every way with Diego Simeone, especially defensively. I think I’m a more complete player now, but I can still improve in every aspect. It’s great to have his trust, it gives you even more confidence.”
