Liverpool FC Women today bid farewell to Sofie Lundgaard, with the 24-year-old Danish midfielder leaving on a permanent transfer to join Frauen-Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany.
Lundgaard had a challenging time on Merseyside, with serious ligament injuries limiting her to just 11 appearances in the last two seasons, a low number considering she made 31 appearances for the Reds in her opening 18 months in Liverpool.
She joined the club in 2023 and has spent three-and-a-half years with the Reds, who wish her luck in her future career.
