The Nigerian international was substituted in the 53rd minute for Ghoddos after an impressive display.
Goals from Lewis-Potter and Sorensen was enough to help the team qualify to the next round.
And at Pride Park, Semi Ajayi was an unused substitute for West Brom, who exited the competition following a 1-0 loss at Derby County.
