Former Kwara United coach, Samson Unuanel has questioned Super Eagles coach, Jose Peseiro’s technical ability to manage the the senior national team.
He made this known on the backdrop of some of the poor substitutions in Nigeria’s 3-2 win over Sierra Leone in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers in Monrovia.
In a chat with Completesports.com, Unuanel said that the Portuguese tactician lacks a few tactical and technical aspect of the game.
“I was not really convinced with Peseiro’s technical and tactical know-how, most especially in the game against Sierra Leone, where I think he failed to read the game properly.
“Besides, a more tactical team would have defeated the Super Eagles having leveled the score 2-2. His substitutions was not on point but I am delighted that the team have qualified for the 2023 Africa Cup Nations.”
