Black Stars of Ghana have qualified for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations after beating Central Africa Republic (CAR) 2-1 in their final Group E game on Thursday in Kumasi.
The Black Stars have now qualified for a 10th consecutive AFCON.
The four-time African champions needed a win or a draw to qualify while CAR had to win.
CAR took a shock lead in the 25th minute through Louis Mafouta but with two minutes left in the first half, Mohammed Kudus equalised for the Black Stars.
In the 88th minute Ernest Nuamah scored the winner to cement Ghana’s place at next year’s tournament.
The Black Stars topped the group on 12 points while Angola finished second and also qualified.
