Nigeria U-18 women handball team have qualified for the 2024 Women’s Youth World Handball Championship for the first time in history.
The Nigerian team defeated Morocco 28-14 in Wednesday’s quarter-finals of the 2023 African U-18 Women’s Handball Nations Championship.

The win against Morocco means Nigeria have secure d one of the four slots allocated to Africa.
They will also feature in the IHF Women Trophy Intercontinental Phase later this year.
Meanwhile, Nigeria will play Egypt in the semi-finals on Friday at 6:30pm.
