European giants Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Real Madrid have indicated their intentions to sign Chelsea captain Reece James in next year’s summer transfer window.
James has had several injury issues while at Stamford Bridge. He missed a huge chunk of the 2022/23 season as he played only 16 Premier League games last season.
He also missed the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar as result of the incessant injuries.
The 23 year old has also been out for majority of the 2023/24 campaign due to a hamstring problem.
Real Madrid view the defensive stalwart as one of the options for their right back position in their defensive department.
Despite Kyle Walker signing a new contract at Manchester City, the Pep Guardiola led side are also keen on recruiting James to their squad next season.
According to Fichajes as reported as reported by footballtransfers.com, Bayern Munich have also readied a bid for James.
James was key during Bayern Munich coach Thomas Tuchel’s time at Chelsea hence the German is keen on a reunion.
Frenchman Benjamin Pavard recently left Bayern to join Serie A outfit Inter Milan in the just concluded summer transfer window, thereby leaving a huge void in the right back position at the club.
James hasn’t made any comments concerning this links as he nurses another injury. He is said to be close to rejoining the Chelsea squad on the pitch soon.

He has made just one appearance across all competitions for the Blues this season.
Chelsea are currently 14th on the Premier League table with five points after five games.
Real Madrid are first in Laliga with 15 points from five games and City are first place in the Premier League with 15 points from the same number of matches.
Bayern Munich are in third position in the Bundesliga after accumulating 10 points from the first four matches in the division.
