Inter Milan are keeping tabs on Nigerian international Maduka Okoye with an eye on the upcoming winter transfer market. Although the Nerazzurri have yet to table a formal proposal, Udinese have reportedly slapped a €20 million price tag on their starting goalkeeper.

Reports emerging from Italy suggest that the Serie A champions are reassessing their options between the posts following unconvincing performances from Josep Martínez. Okoye is among the names on their radar, though initial interest has not yet translated into concrete negotiations.

Udinese’s financial demands could present a major hurdle. With the 26-year-old shot-stopper under contract until June 2028, the Friulian outfit face little urgency to cash in on him.

Inter previously monitored Okoye earlier in 2024 before deciding to recruit Martínez from Genoa instead. Any January pursuit will largely depend on Martínez’s form moving forward and whether Inter executives are willing to meet Udinese’s asking price.

While securing a switch to San Siro would significantly elevate Okoye’s profile, regular playing time remains a crucial factor as he aims to maintain his grip on the Super Eagles’ number-one jersey.
